My Grandma, Marguerite, and my dad.
I'm Katherine, your Key Lime Pie supplier from Aurora, Colorado. You're probably wondering who is she and how does she know how to make Key Lime Pies? Well, let me tell you...
My dad was born and raised in Key West, FL. I was lucky to travel to Key West every summer as a child, which meant I had plenty of time with my grandparents. When I wasn't at the beach, pool, or out on a family friend's boat, my grandmother, Marguerite Woodson, taught me how to make Key Lime Pie in her double-wide trailer on Stock Island. I remember her letting me juice the limes, open the cans of sweetened condensed milk, separate the egg yolks from whites, and stir it all together wearing nothing but a diaper while standing on a kitchen chair to reach the counter. The best part of making pie was that I got to lick ALL of the utensils when we were done. (I shared with my sister - sometimes.) I have some of the best memories of her making Key Lime Pies with me.
I am a working mom, an Engineer at a local defense contractor, looking to turn a dream into reality. I have two kiddos; A son, born in 2015, and a daughter, born in 2020.
I look forward to bringing my grandmother's legacy to your kitchen table.
